Post Details

CDAC invites applications for various technical positions including:

  • Design Engineer

  • Project Engineer

Note: Most of these posts are on a contractual basis for a fixed term, typically 2–3 years, extendable based on project needs.

Number of Posts

  • Total Vacancies: 280 Posts

  • Post-wise and location-wise vacancy details will be available in the official notification

  • Locations may include: Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Noida, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, etc.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in relevant disciplines such as

    • Computer Science

    • IT

    • Electronics & Communication

    • Electrical

    • Embedded Systems

    • VLSI

  • MCA/M.Sc in CS/IT/Electronics (for some posts)

  • PhD or experience in R&D roles (for higher-level posts)

Additional Skills Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience in design, simulation tools, embedded development, AI/ML, software engineering, or networking.

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age (as on last date of application):

    • Project Associate: Up to 30 years

    • Project Engineer/Design Engineer: Up to 35 years

    • Project Manager: Up to 50 years

  • Age Relaxation:

    • SC/ST: 5 years

    • OBC: 3 years

    • PwBD: 10 years

Salary

  • Design Engineer / Project Engineer: ₹40,000 – ₹60,000/- per month

  • Project Associate: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000/- per month

  • Project Manager / Technical Officer: ₹90,000 – ₹1,20,000/- per month
    Exact salary depends on post level, experience, and location

Selection Process

Selection will be based on:

  1. Written Test / Online Test (if required)

  2. Technical Interview

  3. HR Interview / Document Verification

  4. Final Merit List

For some posts, the selection may be done purely on the basis of academic and professional qualifications.
